Surprisingly, strawberry whey protein powder isn’t as popular as you might think in the supplement industry. That being said, if you’re looking to get all 9 of your essential amino acids, and some brilliant additional health benefits from added ingredients like vitamins and probiotics, look no further. We’ve compiled out top powders, highlighting the good and the bad so that you can make an informed choice.
What’s the best strawberry protein powder?
The honest answer is this: all protein powders will help with muscle recovery and growth. What product you choose should depend on your goals, values and/or restrictions.

ISOPURE – Low Calorie/Carb Strawberry Protein Powder
At 110 calories, Isopure is one of the best powders you could find if you’re looking to minimise calories in. A serving includes 25g of 100% whey protein isolate. Whey protein isolate is created when whey protein is processed further to remove lactose and fat, helping to keep calories per serving down. If you’re looking for straight protein, and you don’t mind the added processing, this might be the product for you.
It comes in 8 different flavours and contains vitamins C, E and zinc, helping to boost your immune system. On top of this, it’s also one of the most popular brands on the market, and is reasonably priced for the benefits you’re getting.

Optimum Nutrition – The Market Standard
This powder might be the most popular on the market, and for good reason. It tastes great, packs plenty of nutrition and only contains 120 calories per serving. I used OM for quite a while before I moved to some cheaper brands that matched the quality of their products.
A staple in the industry, Optimum Nutrition have been operating for over 30 years and have cemented themselves as the “gold standard” for whey protein. But what does this actually mean? Here’s what they have to say:
Each great tasting serving contains 24 g of premium whey protein to support muscle growth and 5.5 g of naturally occurring BCAAs. All with just 1.4 g of fat, 0.7 g of sugars, and with 1.3 g of carbs.

Orgain – Organic strawberry protein powder
If you’re looking a vegan strawberry protein powder, and would prefer something organic, Orgain strawberry protein powder might be the one for you. It has 21g of Plant Based Protein, Low Net Carbs, Non Dairy, Gluten Free, Lactose Free, No Sugar Added, Soy Free, Kosher, Non-GMO.
That’s quite the list. The highlights for me are that there are no added sugars, which can be quite common in protein powders. Also, the fully plant based solution is becoming more popular over time as more people move away from dairy, which can be trouble for some people’s gut health.
Finding strawberry flavoured protein is harder than you might think, so finding a plant based version is a result!

Carnivor – Strawberry Beef Protein Isolate
This powder keeps the calories low with no sugar, fat or gluten. At 120 calories per serving, it’s a good choice for minimising intake. Please bear in mind that the protein per serving is a little lower at 23g than the usual 25g, but I’m splitting hairs here.
Personally, I’ve never tried this product or a shake that uses beef protein. That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with it, it’s clinically tested, has solid numbers and a poplar choice for many.
Don’t pay too much mind to the “350% more concentrated than steak” rubbish, for those numbers they’re comparing the same weight of steak and powder which makes no sense, who is eating a 30g steak?!
$0.90/ounce
BSN SYNTHA-6 Isolate Strawberry Protein Powder
Here we have another isolate mix. To be very honest, I prefer other powders when it comes to a whey/casein mix. The issue is that strawberry powders aren’t as popular as other flavors, making finding a good isolate mix harder. If you’d go for a different flavour, check out Ryse.
You’ll get 25g of protein from each serving, just remember that it’s an isolate mix, so some of that protein will be slow releasing.

ISO 100 Best Tasting Strawberry Protein Powder
Here’s what’s good about Dymatize: 25g of whey protein isolate in each serving, less than 1g of fat & sugar per serving, 5.5g of BCAAs and Leucine per serving, gluten free.
I’ve tried a lot of different protein powders over the years and Dymatize has always been great for taste, whilst other strawberry powders can be a little bit “naff”. It’s a solid brand with a good following and you can choose from 11 flavours!

Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Powder
Right, there’s a lot that’s good about this product, and one thing I don’t like. Firstly, you get 30g of whey protein per serving which is the highest on this list. The blend also contains vitamin C, D and zinc, great. Furthermore, there’s also no gluten and it’s CHEAP.
However, whilst this product is very popular, one thing is kept very quiet…there’s 3g of sugar in each serving which is quite a bit higher than a lot of the competition.
Furthermore, this powder is quite high in carbs. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but this protein is probably better suited to those on a bulk, or are in need of a lot of calories, vs someone who is doing what they can to stay/get lean.

What to mix with strawberry protein powder
Water or a variant of milk usually works best. This could cow’s milk, almost, oat or soy. It really comes down to personal preference. Of course with milk, you’re taking on extra calories and protein which may suit your goals.
Where to buy strawberry protein powder
You can pick strawberry protein powder up from most established supplement stores, as well as online stores like Amazon. We have Amazon links to each of our top picks above.
How to make strawberry protein powder taste better
If you’re using water to mix with the powder, I would try using milk of some sorts instead. If this doesn’t work, you may just have a substandard product. Check out our selection above for a powder that suits you. ISO is generally one of the better tasting protein powders on the market, but there are plenty of others.
